Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving Operations
· Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and damage-free handling of raw materials and finished goods
· Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are properly documented, labeled, and processed in accordance with company procedures
· Coordinate scheduling of common carriers (LTL, FTL, parcel, courier) to meet customer delivery requirements and cost targets
· Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation including BOLs, packing lists, and weights/quantities as well as create and enforce quality reviews for receipt or outbound shipping
Inventory Control & Accuracy
· Maintain accurate inventory records through proper receiving, cycle counting, and transaction control – ensure data accuracy in Agile ERP system
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, or overages
· Assume ownership of all inventory locations and ensure proper FIFO practices are maintained
· Ensure accuracy of inventory locations, material labeling, and proper protection of materials
· Analyze material movement and identify excess, obsolete and non-moving inventory
Safety & Compliance
· Enforce all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures
· Ensure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment including periodic maintenance
· Maintain control of all Hazardous Waste and ensure it is properly stored and disposed of, including labeling and secondary containment
· Conduct safety observations, audits, and corrective actions as needed
· Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas (5S standards)
Process & Continuous Improvement
· Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
· Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction
· Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities
· Assist with development and training of standardized work instructions
Coordination & Communication
· Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Purchasing to align shipping priorities and customer commitments
· Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues proactively
· Support customer escalations related to shipping, delivery, or inventory discrepancies
Leadership & Supervision
· Supervise, train, and develop shipping and receiving personnel
· Assign daily work, monitor performance, and ensure productivity goals are met
· Enforce attendance, performance, and disciplinary standards as required

Qualifications:Qualifications & Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or logistics certification preferred
· 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
· Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
· Working knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS)
· Familiarity with common carriers, freight terms, and shipping documentation
· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain certification
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
