EXPERIENCED AUTO BODY ESTIMATOR

M&M Collision Center has proudly served Big Rapids and the surrounding community since 1995. We are looking for an experienced Auto Body Estimator to join our team!

We are a busy, locally owned collision repair facility that takes pride in quality repairs, excellent customer service, and treating our customers and employees like family. As a direct repair facility for many insurance companies, our estimator plays an important role in helping customers navigate the repair process from the initial estimate through completion.

🔧 The Position:

As an Auto Body Estimator, you will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate estimates, communicating with customers and insurance companies, and working closely with our repair team to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect vehicles and identify necessary collision repairs
• Prepare accurate, detailed repair estimates using CCC ONE
• Work directly with customers to explain repair procedures, estimates, and timelines
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and work within insurance/DRP guidelines for their approval
• Prepare supplements and communicate with insurance companies regarding additional damage
• Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs are properly documented and completed
• Document vehicle damage with detailed photographs and supporting information
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
• Provide exceptional customer service from drop-off through vehicle delivery
• Follow OEM repair procedures, industry standards, and insurance requirements

👨‍🔧 What We're Looking For:

Required:

• Previous professional experience as an auto body/collision repair estimator is preferred

·        Hold a current Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certificate with the State of Michigan

• Proficiency with CCC ONE
• Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures, parts, and labor operations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, insurance companies, and technicians
• Ability to manage multiple repairs while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
• Commitment to quality repairs and customer satisfaction

Preferred:

     • I-CAR training or certification

     • Experience with OEM repair procedures

     • Experience with Mitchell or other estimating platforms

     • Experience working in a DRP/direct-repair environment
