Job Description:
As a MK Products, Technical Sales Manager (TSM) you will sell, promote and support MK Products Push-Pull MIG Welding Systems and Accessories, Orbital Welding Systems, Turntables, TIG Torches and Accessories through the establishment, training, and development of a network of distributors within your assigned territory.
The territory for this position is West and Midwest. Primary residence should be in any state in the territory being covered.
Responsibilities:
You will have a direct impact by prioritizing and executing objectives based on your sales territory opportunities for greater market share penetration, including:
- Identifying new and increasing current channel partners to maximize area coverage.
- The creation of an annual business and territory operating plan with new and current distributor. partners to meet sales objectives and attain continued market share growth.
- Gaining the commitment and support for joint activities throughout the year (e.g., trade shows, open houses, end user visits, and demos)
- Review quarterly results to compare against estimated plans.
- Implement new product launch programs while continuing to promote existing products.
- Monitor, compile, and share competitive information within your territory.
- Own, maintain, and update all opportunities and activities in the company CRM to ensure accurate forecasting and visibility for leadership.
- Use CRM reporting to build a follow-up rhythm so that no high-value opportunity or key account "falls through the cracks.
- Identify coverage gaps in the territory using CRM and distributor feedback and develop plans to expand MK/Tec presence in those areas.
- Collaborate with marketing and inside sales to ensure leads are followed up on promptly and consistently and that field feedback is captured back into the system.
- Comfortable using CRM tools and sales analytics
- Disciplined with documentation and follow-up, including logging calls/meetings, next steps, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Industrial Sales, preferably in the Welding Market. The ability to identify sales opportunities, demonstrate and present product features, benefits and values using technical product knowledge, and train distributors sales force on our products.
- Experience managing a network of independent distributors in an industrial setting.
- Capable of solution selling, recommending the appropriate products for the end-user application.
- Competitive knowledge within the territory/marketplace and the welding industry.
- Understanding of how distributors organize and operate in their market.
- Current driver's license.
- Knowledge of and ability to MIG/TIG Welding helpful.
Physical Demands & Travel:
- Travel: up to 50-60% per year (primarily driving)
- Ability to work from home office.
- Located within 1 hour of a major airport.
- Ability to demonstrate MIG Welding Systems (manage the movement of ~100 pounds)
- Operate MIG Welding Systems within safety guidelines.
$65, $70,000.00 Annualized base Commission
