Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules to coordinate resources and milestones effectively.
- Oversee all aspects of construction site activities, including site safety, quality control, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate project execution and scope management.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective project coordination and communication.
- Utilize tools like HeavyBid and other construction estimating software to track progress, document changes, and control costs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and upcoming milestones for review with team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in civil construction management with a strong background in project management.
- Proficiency in project scheduling.
- Skilled in using construction management software or relevant tools for project tracking and documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts administration, and construction estimating.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety certifications or PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred but not mandatory.
