MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking applicants for Construction Inspectors - NICET Level III and NICET Level IV inspectors for projects near our Fishkill, NY office.
Responsibilities:
Inspects and oversees construction of bridges, buildings, dams, highways and other construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications
Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts
Verifies alignment and elevation of installations
Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials conform to specifications
Examines quality of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation
Interprets contract drawings and specifications and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction
Records material quantities received and used; maintains daily log of construction/inspection activities
Computes monthly estimates of work completed
Prerequisites for employment:
NICET III or NICET IV Certification, ASCE or Education Equal
Valid Driver's License
Previous experience with SiteManager is highly preferred
Highly motivated
Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work without employer sponsorship
