Construction Inspector NICET III and NICET IV

MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking applicants for Construction Inspectors - NICET Level III and NICET Level IV inspectors for projects near our Fishkill, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and oversees construction of bridges, buildings, dams, highways and other construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications
• Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts
• Verifies alignment and elevation of installations
• Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials conform to specifications
• Examines quality of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation
• Interprets contract drawings and specifications and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction
• Records material quantities received and used; maintains daily log of construction/inspection activities
• Computes monthly estimates of work completed
  
  

Prerequisites For Employment

• NICET III or NICET IV Certification, ASCE or Education Equal
• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience with SiteManager is highly preferred
• Highly motivated
• Detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work without employer sponsorship
  
  

Pay is based on applicant’s ability and will be rated accordingly. Salary: $85,000 – $115,000
