Position Overview:
As M Events expands into the U.S. market, we seek an enthusiastic Account Manager with a robust background in event software and experience managing scientific congresses. Candidates from both the software and production realms are welcome. The right candidate should be passionate and knowledgeable about the industry and eager to excel in sales and client success. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee large, multi-faceted, or technically complex client projects through the full conference lifecycle.
- Ensure seamless implementation of event software solutions.
- Participate directly in event execution (onsite and virtual), ensuring clients experience the full value of the platform and services.
- Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and major events across the U.S. to build relationships and promote the company’s software solutions.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Act as the operational liaison between clients and internal teams—translating client needs into actionable project plans and ensuring flawless event delivery.
- Work collaboratively in an inter-departmental, solutions-focused team environment.
Qualifications:
- PMP certification required.
- Strong technical understanding of event software, registration systems, and scientific conference management.
- Proven background in project or event management, with experience coordinating complex timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders.
- Experience in account management or solution sales, ideally with online/onsite event technology or related services.
- Hands-on, operational mindset—comfortable rolling up your sleeves during event execution while maintaining a sales-driven focus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and project management platforms (Jira, Asana).
- Existing network within the scientific or association conference industry is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across the U.S., with occasional international travel.
