The Senior Staff Accountant focuses on month-end close and other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Month and Year-end close financial reporting
- Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank account reconciliations
- Analyzing the general ledger to ensure accuracy
- Generate financial reports
- Assisting with annual financial, tax, and insurance audits
- Communicating with other departments about accounting-related issues pertaining to their department
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Experience reconciling balance sheet and bank accounts
- Experience mentoring coworkers in relation to work tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Experience with Blackline preferred
- Experience with Epicor Prelude ERP a plus
- Experience within the Automotive/Diesel/Transportation industry a plus
- Ability to work as an individual contributor in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screening
- Fosters good coworker citizenship in the workplace
