Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bricklayer/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential masonry and labor tasks to support the successful completion of building projects. Duties
- Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision and care, following detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Prepare surfaces and work areas by mixing mortar, leveling surfaces, and setting forms for concrete or masonry work.
- Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) to strengthen concrete structures according to engineering plans and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely to facilitate construction activities.
- Perform concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, and caulking to achieve smooth surfaces and professional finishes.
- Assist with renovation projects by removing old materials, preparing surfaces, and installing new building components such as trim carpentry or metal stud framing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, or related construction fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, mortar work, tile laying, roofing basics, and restoration processes.
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow detailed specifications for building material installation.
- Experience with masonry scaffold building and metal stud framing is a plus.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean work environment throughout all phases of construction projects.
