Bricklayer/Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bricklayer/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential masonry and labor tasks to support the successful completion of building projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties

• Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision and care, following detailed blueprints and specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and work areas by mixing mortar, leveling surfaces, and setting forms for concrete or masonry work.
• Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) to strengthen concrete structures according to engineering plans and safety protocols.
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely to facilitate construction activities.
• Perform concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, and caulking to achieve smooth surfaces and professional finishes.
• Assist with renovation projects by removing old materials, preparing surfaces, and installing new building components such as trim carpentry or metal stud framing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, or related construction fields.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols on construction sites.
• Familiarity with concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, mortar work, tile laying, roofing basics, and restoration processes.
• Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow detailed specifications for building material installation.
• Experience with masonry scaffold building and metal stud framing is a plus.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean work environment throughout all phases of construction projects.
