Flooring Installer

Overview

We are looking for Flooring Installers to add to our network of skilled trades workers. We are currently open to installers with both residential and commercial experience across all material types (carpet, hardwood, tile, LVT, etc.). Junior installers looking to gain additional experience are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to execute flooring installations accurately.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper subfloor conditions for optimal flooring adhesion.
• Install various types of flooring materials including tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry teams to coordinate installation processes on complex projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications throughout each phase of installation.
• Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure durability, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to client expectations.

Skills

• Experience with flooring installation techniques including tile laying, hardwood flooring, laminate setup, and vinyl application.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints
• Strong knowledge of building materials installation methods and building construction standards.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers), power tools (e.g., saws, drills), and heavy equipment necessary for flooring projects.
• Any certifications in restoration or experience with wall paneling are an added bonus
