Job Description
We are a boutique criminal defense firm dedicated to providing a vigorous criminal defense for all clients. The primary focus for this role is discovery organization and case file management. You will support filings and trial prep and help coordinate client discovery review meetings. You will work directly with the firm's attorneys.
This is an in-person role with structured training and clear workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Download, upload, organize, and track discovery (digital physical)
- Conduct first review of discovery, providing important insights to firm attorneys
- Schedule and help run client discovery and evidence review meetings
- Maintain clean case folders, file naming, and discovery logs
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and hearing materials
- Draft, format, proofread, and e-file documents
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and internal milestones
- Provide coordinated support for phone intake and basic administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and comfort with high-volume document management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Able to manage competing deadlines
- Spanish fluency is a strong plus (not required)
- Proficiency in legal practice management software (MyCase), electronic filing platforms (i2file.net; Odyssey), and electronic file storage systems (e.g., Dropbox) is a plus.
