This is a senior seller-doer leadership role for an engineer who combines strong technical expertise with client development, project leadership, team building, and business growth. Rather than inheriting an established workload, you will have the opportunity to build the practice, develop key relationships, recruit talent, and create a significant presence across Arizona.
What You’ll Do
- Build and grow an MEP practice focused on healthcare, hospitals, data centers, and mission-critical facilities.
- Develop relationships with owners, hospital systems, architects, developers, contractors, and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities and lead proposals, scopes, fees, budgets, presentations, and pursuit strategies.
- Provide senior technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects.
- Lead projects from conceptual design through construction administration, commissioning, and closeout.
- Oversee QA/QC, constructability, reliability, redundancy, energy efficiency, and code compliance.
- Manage project scope, staffing, schedules, budgets, profitability, and client expectations.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Establish engineering standards, workflows, and delivery best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
- Approximately 10–15 years of progressive MEP engineering experience.
- Significant healthcare, hospital, data center, and/or mission-critical project experience.
- Proven seller-doer, business-development, or practice-building experience.
- Strong client-facing leadership and project-delivery capabilities.
- PE license preferred; Arizona PE or ability to obtain it strongly preferred.
- Existing Phoenix/Arizona relationships are highly desirable.
