Maintenance Worker

Lynn Dairy and Lynn Proteins is looking to hire a 1st (6am-2pm) maintenance technician. Daily job duties are and aren’t limited to:

• Building maintenance

Repair and maintain buildings, fixtures, equipment, and grounds. This may include removing snow, maintaining sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and driveways. It may also include landscaping inspections and maintenance.

• Mechanical equipment maintenance

Perform maintenance on mechanical equipment for various buildings on a scheduled basis. This may include performing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.

• General maintenance

Perform general maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, and manual repairs as needed.

• Documentation

Ensure that documentation is up to date and properly filled out.

• Emergency repairs

Respond to reports of broken or faulty items and complete routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings, and building systems.

• Inspections

Conduct routine inspections of buildings to ensure that systems and equipment are up to standards and running efficiently.

• Teamwork

Work efficiently with production team members to keep downtime to a minimum.

• Time management

Plan and execute routine maintenance activities and respond to troubleshooting requests and unexpected equipment issues.

Maintenance technicians may also need to liaise with external specialists and contractors and ensure that all work performed meets required codes and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs and machine adjustments.
• Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and independently take appropriate corrective action.
• Ability to safety use electrical test instruments such as continuity tester, ampere meter and voltage tester.
• Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Understand and obey all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Proper safety (PPE) must be worn at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to Lift up 60lbs.

· Must be able to be on feet all shift.

· Have the ability to work in confined spaces.

· Work in hot environment

· Be outside all shift

· Work in an environment where you will get dirty.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
