What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appraisal Desk Coordinator position at LYNK Capital?
We’re looking for a motivated individual to be an appraisal coordinator within our processing and underwriting department. This position will be responsible for placing appraisal orders with a network of appraisers, proactively following up on outstanding orders, and performing a desk review of the appraisal upon receipt.
Prior experience ordering and/or reviewing residential appraisals is not required, but is a plus. The perfect applicant will have experience working at or with an appraisal management company (AMC) or within the Appraisal Desk of a lending institution. Our business is growing, and we offer upward movement and a fast-paced team environment.
What You'll Do
- Collect and review documentation necessary to place appraisal orders
- Manage a pipeline of appraisal orders to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner
- Perform a quality-control desk review of all appraisals upon receipt
- Respond to questions from appraisers and borrowers
- Identify and build relationships with the best appraisers in various markets
- Help provide a first-class customer service experience for our borrowers
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of experience in mortgage lending with a focus on appraisal operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
