Responsibilities
- Assist with concret pouring, and placement according to project specifications and blueprints
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to prepare surfaces and finish concrete surfaces
- Install rebar and formwork structures to support concrete placement and ensure stability during curing
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and texturing to meet project standards
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately
- Follow safety protocols and workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure work environment
- Support the installation of additional elements like metal studs, stucco, or flooring as needed for renovation or new construction projects
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
- Experience with construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines
- Skilled in concrete forming, cutting, pouring, finishing, and related techniques such as plastering or caulking
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans for accurate execution of tasks
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete pumping, heavy lifting, and heavy equipment operation
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on safety protocol adherence and quality workmanship
