Our client, a pharmaceutical packaging and manufacturing company, is looking for a Machine Electronic Control Technician to join their team in Wayne, NJ. In this role, you will provide technical expertise in PLC programming, electronic controls, and machine integration while supporting packaging line operations and ensuring full compliance with cGMP and FDA regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties in accordance with organization SOPs, cGMPs, and CFR 21 Parts 11, 210, and 211
- Assist with PLC programming support on all machine integration projects including training of in-house personnel and documentation
- Coordinate PLC programming, setup of vision systems, data matrix and barcode scanners, and related electronic equipment including technical and validation documentation
- Install, troubleshoot, and replace electrical and electronic devices throughout the facility
- Design controls and systems relating to operator interface and monitoring systems
- Develop and maintain setup sheets and maintenance programs related to inspection systems
- Train engineering staff, packaging line mechanics, machine operators, and QA inspectors on electrical and electronic devices and basic machine control functions
- Work as a team member or leader on coordination, design, fabrication, and start-up of new projects and assemblies
- Develop and implement relevant SOPs, Change Controls, Equipment Evaluations, and Engineering Studies
- Support and interact with Sales, Business Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Packaging, and Technical Groups to ensure project goals are clearly communicated and realized
- Conduct or support investigations of field complaints, deviations, and non-conformance events
- Learn and support new systems including Package Serialization, Servo systems, and Vision systems
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- 5–8 years of related experience in a packaging environment required
- Strong PLC programming experience required
- Thorough knowledge of packaging equipment and functions
- Proficient in technical software including PLC, Servo, Vision, HMI, and Controls software
- Proficient in office environment software including QAD, Excel, Word, and Project
- Understanding of general industrial process and control systems
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must perform all tasks following industry standards and cGMP requirements
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $72.000 – $83.000 a year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $72,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
