Job Summary:
Lynd Acquisitions Group is seeking an accomplished Senior Acquisitions Leader / VP of Acquisitions with 10 years of experience in sourcing, underwriting, and closing real estate investments, with a strong focus on multifamily assets. This role is critical to Lynd’s long-term growth strategy of acquiring and repositioning value-add multifamily properties in high-growth markets across Texas and the broader Sunbelt region.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Proactively identify and evaluate high-potential acquisition opportunities through a well-established network of brokers, and property owners.
- Underwriting Leadership: Oversee underwriting and financial modeling, including rent roll analysis, renovation strategy, capital planning, and market comp research.
- Deal Execution: Lead all aspects of deal execution—from structuring and negotiating purchase agreements to managing due diligence, financing, and closing.
- Capital Relationships: Support capital raising efforts through direct interaction with institutional investors, JV partners, and lenders.
- Portfolio Oversight: Collaborate with the asset management team to ensure strategic execution and performance optimization of acquired assets.
- Market Expertise: Monitor macroeconomic trends, submarket conditions, and competitive dynamics to inform investment strategy and pricing discipline.
- Team & Platform Development: Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of Lynd’s acquisitions platform, including refining pipeline strategy and internal processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in multifamily real estate acquisitions with a track record of closing $1B in transaction volume. Experience with value-add, affordable and core deals is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or Masters in Real Estate is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Advanced Excel financial modeling skills. Strong negotiation, due diligence, and transaction structuring abilities.
- Relationships: Deep, active network of industry contacts, including brokers, sellers, equity partners, and lenders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead deal teams and influence investment strategy. Comfortable working across departments and managing multiple priorities.
- Mindset: Self-starter with a high sense of ownership, strategic thinking, and strong attention to detail. Entrepreneurial spirit with the discipline to execute.
