SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe transport of cattle and the general care of cattle.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Able to work holidays as needed
- General care of feed lot cattle
- Bedding, feeding, cleaning, sorting
- Load and transport cattle in a safe manner
- General maintenance of buildings and grounds
- Record keeping of livestock
- Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record to be insurable under company guidelines
- Maintain certification and follow all TQA Guidelines
- General Maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipment
- Alleyways, pens, and chutes
- Able to operate various farm equipment such as skid steers and tractors
- Mowing and weeding
- Work well with livestock customers and plant personnel
- Humane Handling of Livestock
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of feed lot experience and managing a cattle farm
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accurate reporting and time management
- Ability to keep business matters confidential
- We are looking for a proactive individual who can independently manage projects from conception to completion.
