Yacht Rigger
Lyman-Morse is seeking a person with 3 to 5 years of marine rigging experience to join our rigging department. The Rigging Technician is responsible for careful attention to rigging related projects associated with the service yard. He/she must have a “can do” attitude to go above and beyond ensuring that the company delivers excellent service to all customers and their yachts.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver high caliber execution of all rigging services
- Assemble and install boat rigging systems
- Adjust and maintain rigging systems
- Test and inspect boat masts, lines and sails
- Repair and replace rigging components
- Inspect boat for safety and stability
- Mobile crane operation
- Advise customers on rigging systems
Essential Experience
- 3 to 5 years experience with late model and modern rigging techniques and materials required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
- General knowledge of boat repair and maintenance, including sailboats, power boats, dinghies, and other watercraft
- Sailing/racing experience desirable
- Ability to execute projects within time structured limits
- Ability to work professionally alongside boat owners and captains
Schedule
- Four 9 -hour days with a half day every Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
