Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Account Representative to join their healthcare finance team. This role is responsible for claims follow-up, writing insurance appeals, payment posting, account reconciliation, refund processing, and ensuring accurate reimbursement. The ideal candidate has experience in medical billing or accounts receivable and strong organizational skills.
Hours - 8a-4:30p... ability to flex to 7:30-4p after training.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve denials or underpayments.
- Prepare and submit insurance appeals with supporting documentation.
- Post charges, payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
- Verify insurance payments against contracted fee schedules.
- Process patient and insurance refunds.
- Resolve billing inquiries and account discrepancies.
- Reconcile daily cash, EFTs, and payment batches.
- Assist with financial reporting, patient statements, and other departmental duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, claims follow-up, or payment posting.
- Experience writing insurance appeals preferred.
- Knowledge of EOBs, insurance payments, adjustments, and refunds.
- Strong computer, data entry, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- One year of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience preferred.
