Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced logistics professional with 7 years of experience in logistics operations, analysis, and strategic planning. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, optimizing transportation and warehouse processes, and driving data-driven improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost performance.
This position is responsible for overseeing the full process of receiving, documenting, and inspecting shipments, as well as arranging proper transportation to the final destination in accordance with client instructions. The role also requires accurate completion of documentation, timely updates in WMS/TMS and other relevant systems, and overall management of daily shipments in and out of warehouses. Additionally, this position will file claims with carriers for damaged and/or missing shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor inbound and outbound shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring compliance with domestic and international client requirements
- Conduct logistics data analysis and performance tracking to identify inefficiencies and implement strategic improvements
- Lead logistics planning initiatives, including transportation optimization, warehouse process improvement, and cost reduction strategies
- Supervise transportation providers, including shipment tracking, issue resolution, and damage/loss claims handling
- Prepare and manage export/import documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Analyze freight costs and develop monthly forecasts and cost-saving initiatives
- Manage WMS/TMS systems, ensuring real-time data accuracy and operational visibility
- Oversee inter-warehouse transfers, inventory audits, and product inspections
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Build and manage relationships with carriers and vendors, including rate negotiation
- Provide training on logistics systems and operational best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Support operational budgeting, purchasing approvals, and warehouse supply management.
- Review carrier invoices, warehouse expenses, and operational expenditures for accuracy and cost control.
- (Manager Level) Train, coach, and mentor logistics coordinators and warehouse personnel on systems, procedures, and operational best practices.
- (Manager Level) Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and operational compliance, and provide feedback to support workforce performance.
- (Manager Level) Support workforce planning and cross-training initiatives to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or related field
- Proven experience in logistics analysis, reporting, and strategic planning
- Strong background in cost control, process improvement, and operational optimization
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
