Job description
LWK Hydraulics is looking for a candidate who wants to take the next step in their career to join our TEAM. We are a heavy duty truck and trailer parts distributor and growing our fluid power division. We offer several brands of products as well as a provider of value added solutions to customers including; pump/motor assemblies, mobile valve assemblies, hose kits, repairs, and hydraulic power solutions. With offices in Houston, Conroe, and Tyler, LWK has a broad footprint with many opportunities for growth within the company.
The Inside Hydraulics Sales Representative is an important role for managing some of LWK's largest accounts in cooperation with outside and inside sales representatives, purchasing and warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities
Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, hoses, valves, and motors is ideal, but a heavy equipment, industrial or automotive background is a great start
Ability to welcome customers, establish rapport, and determine and attend to customers’ needs
Ability to match customers’ needs with appropriate parts or services
Knowledge of parts counter procedures, such as requiring prepayment for special orders, quoting jobs, answering the phones, etc.
Ability to search part numbers or to use the computer and standard catalogs
Ability to assist the management in analyzing and resolving discrepancies between computer inventory and actual parts on hand
Must communicate clearly in person and on the phone and must be willing to initiate calls to customers to give and receive information
Must be alert to sales opportunities by taking the time to ask customers questions and provide information about parts and services
Willingness to learn and assist with taking in other non-hydraulic types jobs such as Driveline, Flywheels, Presswork, Transmission, and Differential jobs
Detail-oriented, dedicated, and punctual
Desire to solve problems with a natural curiosity
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy (up to 50lbs) items
Learn about products and vendors to develop a high level of Fluid Power and application knowledge
Communicate with internal and vendor contacts to understand and respond to delivery needs
Manage large customers' questions, orders and deliveries in partnership with outside and inside sales
Learn effective ways to cross sell and upsell current customers
Uncover opportunities for outside sales, from potential new customers and current customers
EXPERIENCE
3 years of experience working with mobile fluid power or a parts counter within a mechanical field
Previous experience in hydraulic, truck or automotive repair strongly preferred.
Education in truck or automotive repair, hydraulic certifications may be accepted in lieu of experience.
Knowledge

Technical aptitude to learn about fluid power applications and products.
Selling skills, including ability to uncover opportunities, determine ways to provide value to customers and overcome obstacles to upsell/cross sell/win new business.
Detail oriented to manage customer projects, deadlines and shipments.
Good at math with analytical abilities
Proven ability to work with Windows-based computer systems and applications, specifically Outlook and Excel, as well as ERP systems
