Vice President of Preconstruction - Power
Location: Kansas City, MO or Atlanta, GA
Salary: Up to $300,000 DOE
Summary:
A nationally recognized contractor is seeking a Vice President of Preconstruction to support the continued growth of its power and infrastructure business. This leadership role will oversee preconstruction and estimating activities across multiple business verticals, helping drive pursuit strategy, business development efforts, and successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power delivery, power distribution, utility infrastructure, and electrical construction, along with significant estimating and preconstruction leadership experience.
The Vice President of Preconstruction will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and oversight to preconstruction and estimating teams
- Developing pursuit and bid strategies for major power and infrastructure projects
- Reviewing estimates, budgets, and risk assessments
- Supporting business development and client relationship efforts
- Collaborating with operations and executive leadership teams
- Overseeing multiple market sectors and project pursuits
- Mentoring and developing preconstruction professionals
The Vice President of Preconstruction should have the following qualifications:
- Extensive preconstruction and estimating experience
- Strong power, utility, or electrical construction background
- Experience leading large pursuits and estimating teams
- Knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, substation, or related infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
