- Lead above-water and underwater bridge and ancillary structure inspections.
- Manage inspection teams and ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
- Review and resolve field issues, coordinate access, and produce detailed inspection reports.
- Oversee project proposals, budgets, schedules, and profitability.
- Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in inspection techniques.
- Engage with clients, government agencies, and technical societies.
- Ensure safety protocols and training are upheld across all inspection activities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in bridge or ancillary structure inspections.
- Completion of FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course (#130055 or #130056).
- Proficiency in RIDOT Bridge Management Software (AASHTOWare BrM), RIDOT manuals, NBIS, and SNBI.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in rugged field conditions and adverse weather.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable with climbing, crawling, and working in confined spaces.
