For this position, you will be a structural engineer with experience in the Pulp & Paper sector to support industrial facility design and analysis. This role involves working on structural systems that support heavy machinery, process equipment, and infrastructure unique to pulp and paper operations. You will have the opportunity to be client facing and be a key part towards the growth of this company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems including foundations, steel framing, platforms, and equipment supports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into overall plant layouts.
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations for retrofits, expansions, and upgrades.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ASCE, etc.).
- Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience, including 2 years in the Pulp & Paper or similar industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000).
- Strong understanding of industrial construction practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary : $125,000 - $175,000
