My client, a long‑established and highly respected engineering firm known for delivering high‑reliability infrastructure and mission‑critical facilities, is seeking an experienced Senior Mission Critical Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baltimore, MD. In this senior-level position, you will take ownership of medium‑to‑large electrical design projects, leading technical execution while guiding and mentoring junior engineering staff. You'll collaborate directly with clients, multidisciplinary teammates, and contractors to deliver resilient, efficient, and compliant electrical systems for mission-critical facilities. This is a fully onsite role for candidates who excel in close teamwork, leadership, and hands‑on engineering impact.
- Lead electrical design efforts for major mission-critical and data center projects.
- Oversee project scope, design strategy, and quality control across electrical systems.
- Direct junior engineers and support their development and training.
- Collaborate closely with clients, internal design teams, and construction partners.
- Contribute to fee proposals, budgeting, and project management activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland.
- 16 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including Lead Engineer responsibilities within mission‑critical or data center environments.
- Strong experience with:
- One‑line diagrams and specifications for UPS, generators, MV switchgear, STS, and related systems
- SCADA systems and automated operations
- Topologies such as Tier III, Tier IV, N 1, and 2N
- Industry codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, Uptime Institute, ANSI/TIA‑942)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong professional reputation and organizational skills.
- Ability and desire to mentor junior engineering talent.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Proficiency with ETAP or SKM for power system studies.
- Experience using Revit to design complex power systems in raised‑floor environments.

Expected salary range: $150,000 - $200,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
