Senior / Lead Structural Forensic Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Remote, Hybrid, or On‑Site (Denver office)
Travel: Regional & Out‑of‑State (1-2 trips per month)
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior to Lead‑Level Forensic Engineer with deep experience supporting insurance carriers and handling complex roof, hail, and construction defect investigations. This role is ideal for a seasoned forensic professional who is confident in technical analysis, legal proceedings, and client-facing responsibilities. A leadership track is available for qualified candidates.
- Perform forensic engineering investigations related to:
- Roof damage (hail, wind, storm-related)
- Building envelope failures
- Property damage and loss causation
- Provide expert support to insurance carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Prepare clear, defensible, and technically sound forensic reports
- Analyze construction methods, materials, and standards of care
- Support construction defect matters, including:
- Cause and origin analysis
- Scope and responsibility assessments
- Participate in legal proceedings, including:
- Depositions
- Expert testimony (preferred)
- Collaboration with attorneys and claims professionals
- Travel out of state approximately 1-2 times per month as required by case demand
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Assist with quality control and peer review of reports
- Support business development and client relationships
