About the Role
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of one or more electrical construction projects valued up to $10M. This role provides full lifecycle project leadership—from preconstruction through closeout while supporting ongoing business development efforts within assigned clients, markets, or geographic regions.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned electrical construction projects in close partnership with the Project Superintendent
- Review and manage contractual scope, project risks, and execution strategy
- Plan, organize, and staff projects using regional department resources
- Establish project objectives, procedures, schedules, and performance standards aligned with corporate policies
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless coordination
- Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts
- Oversee project scheduling, cost control, and field execution to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Manage all financial aspects of projects, including cost tracking, billing, and collections to ensure profitability and strong cash flow
- Proactively identify project risks and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Identify and pursue additional work through change orders
- Ensure document control processes comply with contract requirements and internal standards
- Attend and lead job progress meetings
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors
- Mentor and support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers when assigned
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project and business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent practical experience
- OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
- 5-10 years of experience in construction design, finance, and project management
- Strong working knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and corporate processes
