My client is seeking experienced Senior Structural Project Engineers to join their growing team. This position serves as a technical lead for the design and analysis of complex transportation structures. The ideal candidate brings advanced engineering expertise, strong judgment, and proven project leadership skills to deliver high‑quality bridge design solutions for public‑sector clients.
- Lead the structural design of bridge and transportation structures, ensuring compliance with project goals, client standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform and review advanced structural analyses using industry‑standard software such as MicroStation, Leap Bridge Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, Open Bridge Designer, or comparable tools.
- Oversee preparation of design drawings, technical calculations, and construction documents with an emphasis on accuracy and constructability.
- Manage or meaningfully contribute to multidisciplinary project teams from initiation through completion.
- Support coordination efforts with contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to maintain quality, schedules, and budgets.
- Implement rigorous QA/QC procedures, including reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Serve as a technical resource to resolve design challenges and propose efficient, innovative solutions.
- Engage with clients as needed to communicate project status, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities for additional value.
- Minimum of 8 years of civil engineering experience focused on bridge design or transportation‑related structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- Experience with applicable standards such as AASHTO, LRFD, and state DOT design manuals.
- Proven ability to execute and oversee QA/QC procedures on complex structural projects.
- Experience collaborating with state DOTs, municipalities, or county agencies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team‑coordination skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
