Renewable Energy Construction Projects | Nationwide Travel
Position Overview
An established construction organization specializing in large-scale renewable energy projects is seeking a Safety & Health Representative to support and administer site safety initiatives across wind and solar construction projects. This role partners closely with project leadership, field supervision, and craft personnel to foster a strong safety culture, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote safe work practices throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the on-boarding process by assisting with new employee safety orientations.
- Organize, facilitate, and maintain documentation for safety meetings, inspections, and field assessments.
- Assist project leadership with the development, implementation, and communication of safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the corporate safety team to maintain OSHA record keeping and reporting compliance.
- Provide safety guidance, training support, and technical assistance to field supervisors and employees.
- Encourage a proactive approach to workplace safety through coaching, observations, hazard recognition, and corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor site safety performance and compliance while helping drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, documentation, and communication of lessons learned.
- Travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States as required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
- Strong communication, organization, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Previous construction safety experience (1-3 years preferred).
- Experience supporting safety programs within industrial, utility, energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy construction environments is a plus.

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
