My client is seeking a fully remote Transportation Project Manager in Kansas with strong experience in roadway and traffic design, proven project leadership skills, and a client‑focused approach to business development. The ideal candidate is team‑oriented, well‑versed in KDOT standards and procedures, and brings strong industry relationships within Kansas.
Core Responsibilities- Serve as Senior Project Manager for roadway, highway, bridge, and multimodal design projects.
- Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets; monitor and control project performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor staff to support technical and professional development.
- Perform Quality Control/Quality Assurance reviews for key project deliverables.
- Support proposals, presentations, and client engagement efforts to expand business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with KDOT, Kansas Turnpike Authority, counties, cities, and municipalities.
- Participate in professional industry organizations to strengthen presence and visibility.
- Contribute to regional growth strategies and provide leadership internally and externally.
Mimimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (roadway design, traffic engineering, or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10-25 years of transportation design and project management experience, ideally within Kansas.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and Civil 3D for roadway design project delivery.
- Strong understanding of KDOT specifications and processes.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
