MEP Project Manager - Data Center Equipment Installation
Location: Dallas, Texas
Base Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 Benefits
A specialist data center systems installation contractor, renowned for delivering hyperscale facilities across the U.S., is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to support ongoing and upcoming data center builds in Dallas, Texas.
This role is focused on the installation, coordination, and quality control of critical MEP equipment on large-scale hyperscale data center projects. The business is deeply embedded in the mission-critical market and works directly with leading general contractors and global technology clients.
- Manage day-to-day MEP equipment installation across active data center projects
- Oversee installation of major systems including electrical infrastructure, mechanical plant, generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, and associated supporting systems
- Lead and enforce QA/QC procedures, ensuring all installations meet contract documents, specifications, and commissioning standards
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule, quality, and safety performance
- Review submittals, shop drawings, ITPs, and installation methodologies
- Conduct regular site walks, inspections, and quality audits
- Work closely with commissioning agents and GC teams through testing, startup, and turnover
- Maintain accurate project documentation, punch lists, and closeout packages
- 5 years of hands-on data center installation experience, specifically within hyperscale or mission-critical facilities
- Proven background working for MEP contractors or specialist installation firms
- Strong, demonstrable QA/QC background, with experience inspecting and signing off MEP installations
- Deep understanding of critical equipment installation sequencing and coordination
- Experience supporting projects in live or fast-track data center environments
- Must be local to Dallas, TX (no relocation or remote options)
