Position Overview:
The Geotechnical Project Manager will oversee geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and timely delivery. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation, infrastructure, and commercial projects.
- Manages geotechnical projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Conducts and oversees geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design recommendations.
- Prepares and reviews technical reports, proposals, and project deliverables.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met.
- Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Mentors junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth.
- Ensures compliance with TxDOT standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and geotechnical design principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
