A rapidly growing national construction firm is seeking a Chief Estimator to join its growing team in the Fort Lauderdale area and help them achieve $1bn revenue in the next 2 years. The Chief Estimator is a senior‑level leader responsible for all preconstruction and estimating operations across the company's Florida construction divisions.
This a high‑impact, strategic position reporting directly to regional executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities of the Chief Estimator | Large-Scale Commercial:
- Responsible for successful project delivery by overseeing budgeting, estimating, constructability reviews, and client engagement.
- Serve as the regional leader for all preconstruction efforts, aligning estimating strategy with the company's growth objectives.
- Manage workloads and schedules to meet deadlines for both personal and team deliverables.
- Partner with the Vice President and regional leadership team to drive pursuit strategy, project acquisition, and client satisfaction.
- Lead all cost estimating, take‑offs, pricing, and budgeting across all construction divisions.
Qualifications of the Chief Estimator | Large-Scale Commercial:
- Experience as Preconstruction Director or Chief Estimator in a large-scale commercial construction environment, leading teams.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and technical proficiency across software, excel and take-offs.
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years of hands-on estimating experience.
- Expert in cost estimating and analysis across all project stages.
- Proficient in RFP/Q preparation, construction methods, purchasing, negotiations, presentations, and team management.
