Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position SummaryLV Petroleum is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our Accounts Payable team. This role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable function for our growing retail operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proven ability to drive process improvements and team performance.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, processing, and timely payments.
- Manage utility bill processing to ensure payments are made on time and prevent service disruptions.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Partner with vendors, operations, and other internal departments to resolve invoice issues and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with vendor maintenance and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounts payable, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with process improvement, automation tools, and AP software/systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
