Minimum Position Qualifications
Assists with Filing and digital document management; responsible for clerical and other Admissions department tasks including typing, correspondence, preparing reports and managing both physical and electronic filing; greets visitors, ascertains nature of business and provides direction; schedules appointments for the Admissions office; distributes incoming and outgoing mail; assist in the organization and coordination of special events such as College Information Nights, Open House, Transfer Day Programs and College Night and virtual admissions events; maintains high school contacts lists, prospective student lists, open house lists and any additional correspondence lists; process information requests such as catalogs, schedules, applications; print acceptance letters, when necessary; responds to inquiries via phone, email and online platforms; answers telephone; provides information to caller or routes call to appropriate official; processes admissions applications using appropriate software; forward high school and other related transcripts to all appropriate College departments, as requested; assists Director with verification of residency, citizenship and/or identity documents; assists Director with reviewing Admissions applications for fraud or misrepresentation; assist Off-Campus sites with admission questions and procedures; assists in processing of return address mail; process incoming mail and electronic documents and enter received transcripts; interview, train, and supervise work study students; supports bilingual communication with students and families, with preference for Spanish communications; assists at the information desk in the campus center, on the 3rd floor, when necessary.
Entry Salary: $28,193/ annual
Standard Work Week: 35 hours

- Education - High School Diploma
- Experience - Two (2) years of appropriate office experience; experience in higher education admissions or student services preferred
- Skills - Proficiency in typing; ability to communicate effectively both oral and in writing; knowledge in the use of computer software; customer service and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
