Job Summary:
As a Luxury Watchmaker, you will be responsible for the precise assembly, disassembly, diagnosis, and repair of high-end timepieces in accordance with the brand’s standards. You will contribute to maintaining the brand's heritage, excellence, and commitment to craftsmanship. This role requires outstanding attention to detail, technical skill, and a passion for horology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete servicing of mechanical and quartz watches, including disassembly, cleaning, oiling, reassembly, regulation, and testing.
- Diagnose and repair complications (e.g., chronograph, perpetual calendar, tourbillon) based on the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Execute quality control and timing adjustments using appropriate equipment and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed in accordance with internal procedures.
- Handle delicate components with precision and care, ensuring zero tolerance for errors.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and workstations are maintained in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customer service, and management to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new technologies and training provided by the brand or third parties.
- Uphold the brand's standards of excellence, precision, and discretion at all times.
Qualifications:
- Certified Watchmaker (WOSTEP, SAWTA, CW21, or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum [3–5] years of experience working with luxury or Swiss watch brands.
- Proficient in using watchmaking tools, diagnostic equipment, and microscopic repair work.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical movements, complications, and finishing techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail, dexterity, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Passion for haute horlogerie and commitment to craftsmanship.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, or similar.
- Prior training or certification from specific brands.
- Familiarity with watch polishing, casing, and waterproof testing.
