Laundry Aide Shift:
The Laundry Worker performs the activities of the Laundry department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility, to ensure that the Laundry department is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner, and that adequate laundry/linen supplies are readily available to meet the daily needs of our residents.

The Laundry Worker performs the activities of the Laundry department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility, to ensure that the Laundry department is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner, and that adequate laundry/linen supplies are readily available to meet the daily needs of our residents.
LAUNDRY AIDE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
- High school graduate or GED.
- Some experience working in a laundry
Required:
- Attend General Orientation
- Receive on-the-job training, as well as participate in ongoing education pertinent to the position.

- Understand and adhere to Compliance Standards, Code of Conduct, and all company policies and procedures.
- Report to supervisor all complaints and concerns made by residents, families, visitors, agencies, etc.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures and as instructed.
- Comply with established standard precautions and isolation procedures, follow established safety regulations and report all incidents, accidents, hazardous conditions, or equipment.
- Attend and participate in department meetings and inservices, monthly all staffs, on the job training programs and others programs, workshops or inservices as offered.
- Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.
- Perform tasks such as folding and delivering residents’ laundry on a daily basis.
- Load and empty washers and dryers.
- Arrange clothes on racks in a numerical sequence and prepare them to be delivered.
- Assist Nursing staff with cleaning out residents’ closets.
- Will be crosstrained to work in the Housekeeping Department and be available to cover for extended illnesses.
- Any other jobs assigned to Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator
