The Dietary Aide/ Dishwasher helps prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas.
- Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
- Maintain a clean dining areas & dishes using appropriate procedures, discard leftovers & empty trash.
- Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
- Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
- Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
- Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings.
- Friendly with good communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
- Ability to read.
- Meet physical demands - stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
- Food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus
