Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials efficiently.
- Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Assist in picking and packing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow OSHA regulations and safety guidelines while operating heavy equipment and performing materials handling tasks.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and assist with packaging of products for distribution.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including cranes and reach trucks safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
