About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support clients in the Columbia, SC area. This weekend-only position offers competitive pay, weekly direct deposit, and requires caregivers who are willing to travel up to 25 miles to client homes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Provide safe mobility and transfer assistance
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and supervision
- Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures
- Document care provided and report any changes in condition
Qualifications
- PCA certification or previous caregiving experience required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing to travel up to 25 miles
- Ability to assist with lifting, mobility, and transfers
- Strong communication skills and a caring, professional attitude
- Must pass a background check
- Drug screening may be required
