Admissions Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for prospective residents and their families. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a thorough understanding of skilled nursing facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the admissions process for all incoming residents.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and their families, providing detailed information about services, amenities, and care plans.
- Assist in the completion of admission paperwork, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
- Verify insurance coverage and ensure all necessary financial documentation is accurate and complete.
- Collaborate with the clinical and operational teams to ensure a seamless transition for new residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the admissions database.
- Act as the primary point of contact for referrals from hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources to generate new admissions leads.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address concerns or questions regarding the admissions process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in admissions, marketing, or customer service, preferably in a healthcare or SNF setting.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance policies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with healthcare software systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
