Scheduling & HR Coordinator (Home Care Organization)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Scheduling & HR Coordinator to support daily operations within our Home Care Organization. This role is responsible for caregiver staffing, schedule coordination, and assisting with basic HR functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is committed to ensuring both client coverage and caregiver support.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Scheduling
- Coordinate and manage caregiver schedules to ensure all client shifts are fully staffed
- Fill open shifts promptly by communicating with available caregivers
- Handle call-offs, schedule changes, and last-minute staffing needs
- Match caregivers to clients based on skills, availability, and compatibility
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records
Caregiver Support
- Serve as a point of contact for caregivers regarding schedules and assignments
- Provide clear communication on shift details, expectations, and updates
- Assist with onboarding coordination and orientation scheduling
HR Support
- Assist with recruiting efforts (job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling)
- Maintain employee records and ensure documentation is complete and compliant
- Track certifications, trainings, and caregiver requirements
- Support disciplinary documentation and performance tracking as needed
Administrative Duties
- Maintain organized records of schedules, staffing logs, and personnel files
- Support general office operations and communication between staff and management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in scheduling, staffing, or administrative coordination (home care or healthcare preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle urgent situations and problem-solve quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of HR processes is a plus
- Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
