Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current condition, and specific pain points
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical terminology knowledge
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse clients
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and experience working within occupational health or med spa environments is preferred
- Ability to maintain professionalism while managing multiple client appointments in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience in customer service roles that emphasize client communication and satisfaction is highly valued
