Operations Team Member
Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) is hiring an Operations Coordinator to help keep our facilities, supplies, and day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role that supports multiple sites and teams, grounded in a strong culture of service, responsiveness, and support.
What You’ll Do:
- Keep office and common areas stocked with supplies, including kitchen and breakroom essentials
- Monitor inventory levels and restock and reorder supplies with a strong focus on cost awareness and minimizing waste
- Coordinate with property management and vendors to address maintenance and facility needs
- Support basic safety and security practices, including reporting concerns and helping maintain secure, functional spaces
- Assist with managing keys, access, and overall site readiness
- Assist with driver safety efforts by helping track vehicle inspections, reporting issues, and supporting safe-use practices
- Support accounts payable processes by organizing, tracking, and maintaining records (e.g., invoices, receipts, and documentation), without direct responsibility for payment processing
- Respond to staff requests with a customer-service mindset, helping remove barriers so teams can focus on their work
- Assist in scheduling conference rooms and company vehicles for staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Basic Excel skills (updating spreadsheets, tracking information, simple formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- Ability to be resourceful and cost-conscious when managing supplies and vendors
- Comfortable with hands-on tasks (lifting, moving supplies, traveling between sites)
- Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities at once
- Clear communication and a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Commitment to supporting others with a helpful, team-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
