Apartment Maintenance Part-time

LSSI is hiring a part-time Maintenance Technician, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am - 4pm (some flexibility) and every other weekend. Responsible for maintaining all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements at designated facilities.

Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties, and repair of buildings and grounds.
• Report needs for major repairs as required by LSSI/HUD.
• Follow standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
• Assist in implementation of preventative maintenance program.
• Assist in resident apartment turn over preparations.
• Document work orders and complete other reporting functions as in compliance with LSSI and/or funding source requirements.
• Be able to assume minimal responsibilities for daily facility operations when Spring Ridge maintenance manager is absent.
• Perform other related tasks as necessary or assigned.
  
  

Position Qualifications

• HS Diploma / equivalent or 6 months or more of maintenance related experience.
• Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
• Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
