We’re seeking a skilled and dedicated Full‑Time Senior Accountant II is responsible for the performance of general ledger accounting, preparation and approval of journal entries, monthly opening and closing of accounts preparation of financial statements and demonstrates initiative in understanding process flows and controls. Senior Accountant II oversees the following areas: general accounting, fixed assets, trend analysis, and profit/loss accounts.
This position offers a Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm schedule with a hybrid work arrangement.
What You'll Do as Senior Accountant II :
- Generate, analyze, and review actual financial data in comparison against plan.
- Lead and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual entries and filings.
- Oversee the preparation of accounting records, research of transactions, and reports.
- Perform regular and recurring accounting functions.
- Document accounting procedures and transactions that will later be used for fiscal management procedures and auditing.
- Prepare tax filings and complete annual tax reports and returns.
- Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company.
- Research and collect data to be used in transactions.
- Lead the annual operating budgeting process, analysis, and review of annual operating budget proposals.
- Communicate on behalf of the company to other contacts and agencies outside the company.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:What You'll Need:
Education | Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification required.
- 5 years of experience in finance, public accounting, or corporate accounting.
- CCRC experience preferred.
- Proficiency and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public.
- Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology.
- Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations.
- Physically able to move throughout the workday, including travel between campus locations and lifting items up to 10 pounds using safe handling practices.
- May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.
- Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies or valid exemptions.
