Job Summary
Luther Burbank School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educator to serve in a full-time combination assignment supporting both Transitional Kindergarten students and primary-grade students receiving Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services. This unique position includes: Morning Assignment: Transitional Kindergarten instruction in a half-day TK program (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) Afternoon Assignment: Specialized academic instruction and support for primary-grade students. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, inclusion, intervention, and supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth through collaborative and engaging instructional practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and 24 ECE Units or Child Development Permit issued by CTC Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Mild/Moderate Authorization with an English Learners Authorization Submit the documents listed below to your on-line EDJOIN application. The following documents are REQUIRED to be submitted with your online application: Letter of Interest Resume Three (3) current Letters of Recommendation (within the last 24 months)** Valid Credential* or Unofficial Transcripts (Required: all colleges/universities attended) (Required for all Pre-interns) Letter from Credential program currently enrolled (Required for all Pre-interns) EL Authorization (must provide proof if it is not embedded in California Credential) *Credential Copy (Must show Subject Description, Expiration Date and EL Authorization) **Letters should be from current or former Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chair, or Program Director. If you have not taught in California (new to the profession), please include a letter from your university program supervisor, master teacher, or practicum supervisor.
