Lush Landscaping & Design LLC is hiring a dependable and experienced Landscaping Crew Leader for project-based landscaping work throughout Middlebury, Addison County, and surrounding areas.
This is not a mowing or routine lawn-maintenance position. Our work focuses on landscape installations, renovations, cleanups, and property-improvement projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work alongside a small crew, assign tasks, maintain quality standards, and help keep projects organized and on schedule. You may also be responsible for completing smaller projects independently.
Typical Projects
- Garden-bed installations and renovations
- Weeding, edging, and mulching
- Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and groundcovers
- Landscape removal and site preparation
- Brush and overgrowth removal
- Property and seasonal cleanups
- Walkway and outdoor improvement projects
- Pressure washing and related exterior work
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a small landscaping crew
- Assign tasks and clearly explain the daily project plan
- Complete certain landscaping projects independently
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards
- Keep projects safe, organized, efficient, and on schedule
- Communicate progress, problems, and material needs to the owner
- Load, unload, and safely operate landscaping tools and equipment
- Maintain clean and professional jobsites
- Communicate respectfully with customers and crew members
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping, gardening, construction, or related experience
- Previous leadership or crew-lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of planting, edging, mulching, weeding, and landscape installation
- Ability to lead others while performing hands-on physical work
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift approximately 50–75 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work without constant supervision
- Must have open availability Monday through Sunday based on project schedules, weather, and workload
Open availability seven days a week does not mean you will work every day. Scheduled days and hours will vary depending on current projects and weather conditions.
Pay
- Starting pay: $31 per hour
- Pay may increase based on experience, performance, and leadership ability
- Hours worked over 40 in one workweek are paid at time and a half: $46.50 per hour
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently lead a crew, and can be trusted to complete projects independently when needed.
