Job Overview
Lush Landscaping & Design LLC is seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Part-Time Landscape Maintenance Assistant to help with residential landscaping and gardening projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in clean and detailed work, and is willing to learn basic landscape maintenance skills on the job.
The position will involve assisting with tasks such as weeding, edging, mulching, garden bed cleanup, planting, trimming small plants or shrubs, hauling debris, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining clean, professional-looking outdoor spaces for clients.
Basic on-the-job guidance will be provided. Prior landscaping or gardening experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential landscaping and gardening tasks, including weeding, edging, mulching, planting, and garden bed cleanup.
- Help prepare and maintain landscape beds by removing weeds, debris, dead growth, and unwanted vegetation.
- Spread mulch evenly and neatly around garden beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas.
- Assist with edging garden beds and walkways to create a clean, finished appearance.
- Load, unload, carry, and move materials such as mulch, soil, tools, debris, plants, and landscaping supplies.
- Use basic hand tools and small landscaping equipment safely, such as rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, pruners, trimmers, and blowers.
- Assist with light pruning, deadheading, and trimming of small plants, flowers, and shrubs when directed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized job site before, during, and after each project.
- Follow directions carefully and complete tasks with attention to detail.
- Work professionally around clients’ homes and respect their property.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, property maintenance, or outdoor labor is preferred but not required.
- Basic on-the-job guidance will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Must be physically able to perform manual labor, including bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, digging, raking, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail is important, especially when working around garden beds, plants, mulch, and finished landscape areas.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are highly valued.
Schedule
Part-time position with hours depending on weather, workload, and scheduled projects.
Typical work may include weekday and/or weekend hours depending on project needs.
